The threats were detailed in an announcement by the Putnam County Sheriff's Office on Friday, Oct. 4, in which authorities said they were made aware of a "pattern of bomb threats" sent via email targeting New York synagogues and containing "vitriolic language."

All federal, state, and local intelligence centers have not identified any credible information regarding the threats, which are now actively being investigated, the Sheriff's Office said.

No threats specifically involved Putnam, authorities added, also saying that the Sheriff's Office is now monitoring all informational sources.
